COMMON QUESTIONS
Questions from security and tech leaders, answered plainly.
Do you understand the cyber security market?
Yes. I have built real pipeline for security and enterprise technology vendors, including a £15M pipeline year for Trend Micro via Operatix and an £8M pipeline for Hewlett Packard via Rainmaker. I know how technical security buyers evaluate and decide.
Why is security marketing different?
Security buyers are technical, sceptical, and allergic to hype. Marketing has to be credible, precise, and able to survive scrutiny from people who know the subject better than most marketers. Vague claims actively lose deals.
Can you build pipeline, not just awareness?
Yes. My background is revenue, not just brand. I connect positioning and demand generation to a real sales motion and pipeline, measured against revenue rather than impressions.
Do you work with vendors of any size?
Yes. The same principles serve a scaling security startup and an established vendor: be distinct, be credible to technical buyers, and tie everything to pipeline.
What does cyber security marketing cost?
A monthly retainer scaled to the work, not a salary, or a fixed price for a defined project. I share the figure after a short call, once I know what actually needs doing. Most engagements start with the one or two things that will move the needle first, so you are never sold work you do not need.
